“Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you islands, and all who life in them. Let the desert and its towns raise their voices; let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice. Let the people of Sela sing for joy; let them shout from the mountaintops. Let them give glory to the Lord and proclaim his praise in the islands.” (Isaiah42:10-12)
All the nations of the earth are to praise the Lord for His grace. Salvation puts a “new song” in the heart of everyone who will embrace the gospel.
From the top of the mountain, to the desert, to the coastland, so the end of the earth, all are to sing to the Lord because of His great salvation. The gospel is universal; it is for all.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:
Precious Abba, You have given us joy to sing Your praises, for the salvation that You provide to all who accept the gospel message. We may not all be successful in our business and personal lives, but we are all a success by accepting You through Christ our Lord and the gospel message of salvation. All this we pray in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
THOUGHT OF THE DAY:
“Are the rules you live by God’s will or a product of mankind?”
“Then will I purify the lips of the peoples, that all of them may call on the name of the Lord and serve him shoulder to shoulder. From beyond the rivers of Cush my worshipers, my scattered people, will bring me offerings.” (Zephaniah 3:9–10)
Beloved, God plans for all people to join together to worship Him. Different languages can be overcome through God’s powers. Evangelism should lead to a purified people calling on God’s name in worship.
“There is no difference between Jew and Gentile—-the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of he Lord will be saved.’ How, then, can they call on the one they have not believe in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’” (Galatians 3:8-14)
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” This truth is for all people of all classes, colors, cultures, and countries. Anyone who turns to Jesus Christ will be saved. He is rich to all who call upon Him. That should encouraged our sharing the gospel with everyone. People are lost until they hear the gospel and believe it. Many may not hear if you do not obey God’s call and witness to the gospel.
Second Thought of the Day:
“Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, ‘This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothes with power from on high.’” (Luke 24:45–49)
Beloved, evangelism centers on the Scripture fulfilling work of Christ. He sends His followers to call every person in the world to repentance and forgiveness. The Holy Spirit in us leads us and gives us power and courage to witness to others.
Repentance and forgiveness of sins go together. God forgives only those who repent. Proclamation is an authoritative invitation to repentance and forgiveness made possible by the suffering, death, and resurrection of Christ. Proclamation is a universal task which fulfills the biblical purpose of God as recorded in Scripture. Clear?
