Now is not a time to panic, but to praise God!

We are currently experiencing a time in our lives, that almost all of us have never had to deal with in our lives. Sports in America have come to a grinding halt and for an undetermined time. Travel, whether by air, train for personal vehicles have become limited and with some cause of uncertainty, due to a virus we may never see, though we may have to deal with its effects. Churches are closing for a few weeks over the concerns, and other businesses are limiting their hours due to concern for their own employees and the general public. Grocery stores have empty shelves, and the unknown has created a fear among the citizen’s of the United States, that is unprecedented.

I’m not saying to not be careful, not to take efforts to clean your homes, I’m saying do no panic. People in panic mode make mistakes that may cost them much more than they ever could imagine. Remember, Satan loves to take a situation like this and to make you fearful, tearful, and distorts the truth.

Joshua 1:9 tells us: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them, saying: “Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you (Matthew 5:1-12).

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it e made salty again? It is no longer food for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.” “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under s bow. Instead they put it on the stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”

Beloved, fear not, for our God is with us, until the end of time and this is not that time. Be a beacon of light for others, and praise God at all times, for He loves us all. Show the love of Christ to all, especially those who would want you to be afraid, for He has promised to care for us, His flock.

Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Romans 5:2-5.
