Meditation

Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth. (Psalm46:10)

God is exalted. When people see the Lord for who He is, He will exalted and they will fall at His feet, accepting His wonderful salvation.

Evangelism is telling people who God is and what He has provided for them in and through Jesus Christ.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY:

Precious Abba, You love all of us and do not what to lose a single person. We know we must become evangelists, sharing the Gospel message of forgiveness and redemption, through our own story. As we received the message from those who of the Bible, now we must pass along our own story, to those around us and how it changed us. The truth of the story is in the way you used to be, and how you are now, since accepting Christ as our Savior and how we received His message in our own lives. We pray today, for all those who need to tell their own story of salvation and forgiveness, to others, and we ask that You send the Holy Spirit to go with them to guide and sustainingg them. Amen

THOUGHT OF THE DAY:

Helping others is the best way to help yourself.

KNOWING GOD:

Nevertheless, I will bring health and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security. I will bring Judah and Israel back from captivity and will rebuild them as they were before. I will cleanse them from all the in they have committed against me and will forgive all their sins of rebellion against me. Then this city will bring me renown, joy, praise and honor before all nations on earth that hear of all the good things I do for it; and they will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it.” (Jeremiah33:69)

All that God provides in salvation is glorious beyond description. The “good things” and “abundant prosperity” of redemption cause multitudes to turn to Christ and share in those wonders.

Evangelism means to turn to Christ and share in those wonders. Evangelism means telling people of God’s wonderful provision of salvation, and that it is open to them as well. Then, it is up to them to make the next move.

I AM:

As you have been object of cursing among the nations, O Judah and Israel, so will I save you, and you will be a blessing. Go not be afraid, but let your hands be strong.” (Zechariah8:13)

God has plans to bless His people even when they appear to be cursed. God’s provision of salvation is not limited to one particular people. He plans to use His people to reach all the nations. Even in troubled times, we are called to be strong in he evangelistic works.

SECOND THOUGHT of the DAY:

As you are heirs of the prophets and of the covenant God made with your fathers. He said to Abraham, ‘Through your offspring all peoples on earth will be blessed.” (Acts3:25)

The grand design of salvation began in God’s gracious provision. The Lord God made a covenant with Abraham, thus creating the particular race (the Jews) through whom Jesus Christ, the Savior, wold come. Salvation always emerges out of the wisdom, power, action, and grace of a loving God. He alone is the provider of redemption.
