“Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness; let bones you have crushed rejoice. Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. Create a clean pure heart O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinner will turn back to you.” (Psalm 51:7-13)
Evangelists are forgiven sinners! We confess our sins before witnessing to others. Because we have been forgiven, gratitude and love fill our lives.
The love of God flows through us to others. We show them they are sinners and can find the forgiveness God has given to us. Evangelism is a forgiven sinner leading another sinner to God for forgiveness and salvation.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:
Precious Abba, it is our duty and responsibility to witness for all the things that God has forgiven of us and then through His forgiveness of our sins, He wants us to go to others, to witness to them. Put those persons in our paths, Abba, to be able to show them just how You have taken all my sins from me, and replaced it with the same sense of peace, since You removed my sins and replaced it with You love and mercy. This is our prayer today, that we are serving you in the manner we are supposed to be doing. Your are our God and always will be. Let our efforts bring upon You all the glory and praise. Amen
THOUGHT OF THE DAY:
“Kindness is never out of style.”
“I speak the truth in Christ—I am not lying, my conscience confirms it in the Holy Spirit—–. I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Chris for the sake of my brothers, those of my own race.” (Romans9:1–3)
Paul was so burdened for the conversion of the Jewish people that he was willing to be separated from Christ if that would in some way effect their salvation.
That is like the spirit of Moses (Exodus 32:31-32). That in love—-love so deep it brings sorrow and anguish. Such love motivates to effective evangelism. (2nd Corinthians 5:14-21).
“Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may saved.” (Romans10:1)
True then, and still is even today. They are our brothers and sisters and so are most of all the people we come into contact regularly. Show the eyes of those we seek to pray about and for, Abba. The eyes give away what is going on in people’s lives.
Be bold, yet gentle with people, and let them see your compassion, forgiveness and mercy, as God has shown to us. People in the midst of sin, are fearful of letting others know that they are in good company, who have been where they are, except for God’s grace and mercy, and that it is available to them as well.
SECOND THOUGHT of the DAY:
“For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.” (2nd Corinthians5:14)
Love for the lost constrains us to share Christ with them. Christians love the lost because they are in great need.
They are also without God. They will spend eternity in hell, if we do not move them to Jesus, their only hope. If we do not reach out to them, they may never find salvation and only find eternal flames. Show them the love of Christ and His mercy, it’s like a lifeline, that they might grab, and you pull them into the arms of Christ.
