Sorry for my being off-line, I’ve had some unscheduled medical issues that are hopefully now resolved.

For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.” (Romans 8:29-30)

Paul listed a chain of five certainties leading to our assurance of glory. Ultimate glorification is conformity to the likeness of Christ. This is the ultimate restoration of humanity, both in an individual sense and the collective sense of the whole group of the called becoming “like” his Son.

Precious Abba, This may seem to say we will all look exactly like Jesus, but in reality we become more like Jesus, the deeper our faith is. We become active servants, performing works of service, just like our Lord did, during His earthly ministry. He taught his disciples to teach, preach and even perform many miracles in His name on their own. He calls us to a variety of ministries, but the one He calls us to most often is that of praying for others for healing of mind, body, and/or spirit, and to reach out to those He wants us to pray for. In Jesus’ precious name that we pray. Amen

Our walk in this world will pass, but our walk with the Lord will last into eternity.”

“To prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:12-13)

Leaders are given to the church to equip the members so that all might do the work of ministry together and so build up the body of Christ. All Christians do not have the same calling or function, but all Christians have the same responsibility to be ministers (Romans 15:27; Philemon 13). The persons who perform the duties of the listed offices function as equippers who prepare the rest of the members for their work for Christ. All Christians all called to us their own gifts in ministry.

Christ exhibits in His person the divine intention for human beings. In God’s new creation we will be made into the likeness of Christ. That will be the glory of redeemed humanity. The restoration to the image of God involves both a present process and a future accomplishment (1st John 3:2).

He must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets.” (Acts 3:21)

Christ’s return in power will be to establish a new world order free from evil and disobedience. This restoration is to include the redemption of nature and the perfecting of human society under the kingly rule of Christ as God’s will is done on earth as it is in heaven.

When Christ , who is your life, then you also will appear with him in glory.” (Colossians 3:4)

Restoration to glory for fallen humanity awaits the return of Christ for its full realization. Moral and spiritual restoration begins with forgiveness, conversion, and new birth, as we die to sin and live with Christ. It continues with sanctification or spiritual grown. It climaxes as the appearance of Christ, when restored humanity shares His glory. Such is the personal hope of each individual Christian

  2. Thanks Chris, nice to know I can always count on you. I remember a dinner at Gino’s in RR with Mulford (and his 3 X 5 cards) and yourself. Miss those days. Haven’t heard from Sid lately, though Tish responds periodically.

  3. Hey there would you mind letting me know which hosting company you’re using? I’ve loaded your blog in 3 completely different browsers and I must say this blog loads a lot faster then most. Can you recommend a good internet hosting provider at a honest price? Thank you, I appreciate it!
