But what does it say? ‘The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,’ that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming. That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. ” (Romans 10:8-9)

People do not have to search for revelation or force God to give it. The revelation of God is available and near to every human being. The gospel message of what Jesus has done for us is all the revelation we need to know God in salvation.

Confession and belief belong together like a hand and glove. Those who confess Jesus as Lord will be saved. The oldest creed of the church is, ”Jesus is Lord.” A believer will confess Christ publicly. Believing and confessing are not two stages in a process; rather, they are two parts of the same action.

Precious Abba, You still call us to Yourself, and there are some who hold back, not wanting to relinquish what they think is control. In truth, they have never been in control. Put these people in our pathways, that we too, might reach out to them with Christ’s love, that they might finally proclaim you as God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen

God is at His best when man is at his worst!”

What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church. If anyone speaks in a tongue, two—-or at the most three—-should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret. If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and God. Two or three prophets, should speak, and he others should weigh carefully what is said. And if a revelation comes to someone who is sitting down, the first speaker should stop. For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged. The spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets. For God is not a God of disorder but of peace. As in all the congregation of the saints, women should not remain silent in the congregations, but participate fully with everyone else. All are to be in submission to the Law, not one over each other. Inquiries should be encouraged, as true learning is accomplished by asking clarifying questions. Did the word of God originate with men only? Or are you the only people it has reached? If anybody thinks they are a prophet or spiritually gifted, let them acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord’s command. If they ignore this, they themselves will be ignored. Therefore, my brothers and sisters will be eager to prophesy and do not forbid speaking in tongues. But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.” (1st Corinthians 14:26-40)

Beloved, inspiration seeks to strengthen the church, provide instruction for life and faith, encourage God’s people, and promote peace. God uses every means to make Himself known in order to accomplish these goals. Insight into God’s revealed teaching man come to any faithful believer at any moment. Worship is a setting God uses to teach His people. God’s revealed will should be shared with the church in an orderly fashion, so they may go out into the world to share with others. This should be done to help the church and others, but never to gain personal power or prestige. Revelation begins with God, not humans. He gives all gifts of revelation and ministry.

Surely you have heard about the administration of God’s grace that was given to me for you, that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly. In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, which was not made known to men in other generations as it has now been revealed by he Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets. This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus. I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of his power. Although I am less than the least of all God’s people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things.” (Ephesians 2:3-9)

Paul claimed personal revelation from God concerning God’s eternal purpose of grace. Such revelation had not always been available. God made it known through the Spirit at the proper time. Christ accomplished what God intended all along—-incorporation of non-Israelites into God’s people. Paul did not claim a monopoly on such revelation. Apostles and other preachers also received it. Revelation came at God’s time to people God chose to accomplish His eternal purposes.

‘If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.’ Consider carefully what you hear,’ he continued. ‘With the measure you use, it will be measured to you—-and even more.” (Mark 4:23-24)

God’s presence and truth is being spoken and demonstrated all the time by His people. The alert and teachable may hear it while others miss it entirely. We are responsible to respond to what is being revealed.
