Meditation

On the day he (Jesus) comes to be marveled as among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you.” (2nd Thessalonians 1:10)

Jesus will be glorified on the day of His glorious return in and through those who believe and are saved. Some will take part because of our testimony. Jesus will be returning not as the “Suffering Servant” as He was the first time; His return will bring Him in His full glory, to pronounce judgment on unbelievers. He will received praise from all believers.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY:

Precious Abba, believers in Christ and saints of “holy people” are names for Christians, those who have committed their lives to Jesus Christ. Christians await the day when Jesus returns to the earth. Believers will give glory and praise to Christ, who died to forgive us our sins. Thank You, Abba, for your open love for Your people, by allowing Your Son to die on a cross so that our sins may be forgiven. Amen

THOUGHT OF THE DAY:

Don’t let yesterday’s sins keep you from your relationship with God. Confess them today and be restored.”

KNOWING GOD:

And we who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” (2nd Corinthians 3:18)

Saved persons are being transformed into the likeness of Christ. Our transformation will become complete at the resurrection. “Transformed” (Greek – metamorphomai) is the same word used of Christ’s transfiguration (Matthew 17:2; Mark (9:2).

I AM:

Let us behave decently , as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. (Romans 13:11)

This text reveals the dynamic nature of salvation. The Roman Christians were asleep, not living the dynamic Christian life. They needed to live life in daily expectation and joy of Christ’s return. We as Christians are not yet what we will become in the end time but need to be all we can be in Christ in our present time.

SECOND THOUGHT of the DAY:

Then he said, ‘Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.’ Jesus answered him, ‘I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.’” (Luke 23:42-43)

Beloved, verse 42 is a prayer for salvation and it is not too late to pray this prayer while the body has breath. The criminal’s prayer was answered. You can pray the same prayer in faith and be sure He will answer.

Paradise is the place of glorification. It is another word for heaven. God in salvation gives us more that we can ask, hope or, or even comprehend. Have you accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior? Have you prayed to God for forgiveness of your sins? Then pray this prayer and know that you will be in paradise. In the meantime, allow God to continue to mold you into Christ’s image or likeness, that people may not recognize you, for you become more like Christ and less like yourself!
