Saul spent several days with the disciples in Damascus. At once he began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God.” (Acts 9:20)

I don’t care where in the world you might happen to find yourself in, there is only one central theme, and that is simply Jesus Christ. As we are nearing Easter, our focus should be on the our Savior, who was persecuted, whipped, and mistreated by experts; He was met with organized opposition and the strongest persecutors; He was made to carry His own cross to to top of Golgotha, and He willingly laid on the cross and was nailed to it; He was mocked and made fun of, and died on that cross. He was taken down and placed in a borrowed grave hewn out of rock, and three days later, He was resurrected from the dead and ascended to the kingdom of God and one day will be back to judge the world. The central theme is Jesus Christ, for He took everything the world could throw at Him and He defeated all, including death itself. You looking for a different answer? He is the answer, beloved.

Precious Abba, today we recognized Maundy Thursday, the death Jesus was tortured, mocked, and opposed by those in the world that even today, do not want to recognize Him, because of the sinful lives they lead. Tomorrow is Good Friday, then Holy Saturday, and finally the great resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ’s returned from the dead and to eternal life. Lent is almost over, and I pray all have learned or experienced something new in your walk with Christ. Today we also pray those who are suffering in body, mind, and/or spirit, with friends, family, for those we don’t know, especially the people in Ukraine, as they are fighting for their very lives and way of life. Amen

For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.” (1st Corinthians 2:2)

Jesus is the heart and only theme of the gospel. Everything we preach centers in and on Him. The focus of His ministry is His substitutionary death on the cross. The lost have no other way to e saved, so the proclaimer must always seek to magnify and lift up the Lord Jesus Christ. Only in Jesus can saved individuals be united. People are not saved by accepting a system of theological propositions, but by receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. He must always be the central theme in our hearts and our minds.

Jesus said to them, ‘This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day.’and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” (Luke 24:47)

Proclamation is an authoritative invitation to repentance and forgiveness made possible by the suffering, death, and resurrection of Christ. Proclamation is a universal task which fulfills the biblical purpose of God as recorded in Scripture.

As you go , preach this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near.’” (Matthew 10:7)

John the Baptist announced that something new was about to begin: the reign of God through the ministry of Christ. Those who want to relate to God and experience the immediacy of the reign of God in and through Christ need a radical changed in their lives. John the Baptist made this abundantly clear. His call for repentance still needs to be heard today. No one is ready to come under the sovereign rule of God until there is a change of attitude and action with regard to sin and service. There must be a willingness to give p everything to experience the reality of the kingdom of God though the immediacy of Chris’s ruling authority.
