What other nation is so great as to have their gods near them the way the Lord our God is near us whenever we pray to him?” (Deuteronomy 4:7)

God is near and hears our prayer no matter where we are when we pray. The nearness of God is a promise for those who call on Him. For those who know God, He also knows us and when we pray, He knows who is praying to Him. He has offered this gift to us all, though some do not realize they have this gift, given to us freely, by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior and Son of the Living God.

Precious Abba, today we recognize the gift of reaching out to our Lord in prayer and He hears all of our prayers. Our relationship with Him allows us to pray, to offer to Him our petitions, our requests for healings, to pray for those who may not even know how to pray. We must pray that all things must be within His will, for the answer is not always yes; sometimes it is not yet and sometimes no, for we are not ready yet. Today we continue to pray for those who are suffering in body, mind, and/or spirit, with friends, family, for those we don’t know, especially the people in Ukraine, as they are fighting for their very lives and way of life. Amen

Being a servant is a free choice that not all are willing to accept. Will you?”

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil ; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me, all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” (Psalm 23:1-6)

God is the loving Shepherd and the caring Host. At the beginning, the sheep looked to the Shepherd for leadership, guidance, and protection. In the end the guest, now situated securely in the safety of the Lord’s sanctuary, described the abundance of eternal provision. Life faces us with dangers and enemies. We can face life with confidence in God. We gain confidence through prayers of confidence. So, commit yourself to daily practice of praying and your confidence level will rise accordingly and your closeness to God will give you the confidence to reveal yourself to Him and He to you.

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so love us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. We know that we live in him and he is us, because he has given us of his Spirit. Ad we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he is in Gd. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God and God in him.” (1st John 4:7-16)

Beloved, this passage may be the strongest single passage in the Bible concerning the love of God. The basic message is simple. God is love. The word used here for love is agape, which means a self-giving love that seeks the best interests of he object and is not selfish or self-seeking. God’s love creates a response of live in us. We can know if we truly belong to God by checking to see if love controls our lives. Such love drives out any fear we might have of God’s judgment.

In that day you will ask in my name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf. No, the ?Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I cam from God.” (John 16:26-27)

Jesus’s name is the legal warrant for the prayers of Christians. The use of he name presupposes that the person praying is manifesting the character of Jesus in his or her request and that the request will represent a continuation of he work of Christ.

Love occupies the central place in the relationship of believers and God. The Father loves believers because they have loved Jesus. Jesus Himself came as the expression of God’s love to the lost. The key New Testament teaching is the love of God the Father. His love is displayed to the lost,, to believers, and to the Son who gave Himself in sacrifice to save the lost. Love, in turn, becomes the foremost characteristic of Christians and is their badge of identification to the people of Jesus Christ.
