Meditation

But Abram said, ‘O Sovereign Lord, what can you give me since I remain childless and the one who will inherit my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?’ And Abram said, ‘You have given me no children; so a servant in my household will be my heir.’” (Genesis 15:2-3)

Abram expressed his deepest concerns to God, resulting in a relationship of faith. Prayer is genuine dialogue concerning life’s biggest problems, and there is no one better to have a dialogue with than with Almighty God. We honor You, when we seek You out to share our troubles and joys with, for You mean so very much to us for all You have done for our benefit

PRAYER FOR THE DAY:

Precious Abba, You have sought to talk with us, Your creation, since the very beginning, and our desire is to share our whole lives with You; the good the bad, and all of our experiences with You. Today we continue to pray for those who are suffering in body, mind, and/or spirit, with friends, family, for those we don’t know, especially the people in Ukraine, as they are fighting for their very lives and way of life. Amen

THOUGHT OF THE DAY:

Laborers needed for God’s harvest! Interested?”

KNOWING GOD:

Then he set it before them, and they ate and had some left over, according to the word of the Lord.” (2nd Kings 4:44)

God is faithful to perform His promises. We can always depend upon Him to be true to us when we honor Him. The Word of he Lord is always certain; He is never in doubt. The words, “according to the word of the Lord,” indicates Elisha’s reliance upon God. God’s prodigality of supply was encouraging in view of the famine.

I AM:

When Jesus heard this, he was astonished and said to those following him, ‘I tell you the truth, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith. ‘I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ Then Jesus said to the centurion, ‘God! It will be done just as you believed it would.’ And his servant was healed at that very our. (Matthew 8:10-13)

The faith of the centurion gained more for him than the inheritance of the Jews did for them. Personal faith, not family tradition, is the basis of prayer. Jesus gave miraculous revelation to people of faith. God seeks belief in a person’s heart to bring change and redemption.

2ND THOUGHT OF THE DAY:

Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.’” (Mark 10:27)

When Jesus called His apostles to “Come, and I will teach you to be fishers of men,” he was in effect asking them to make the ultimate sacrifice of witnessing and evangelizing for Him. This is also what He asks us to do for Him, as well. For the kingdom of heaven to continue to grow, we need to reach out to those who are unchurched and even those who attend church, but have not made a commitment. We must invest ourselves completely to the cause of evangelizing the world around us and beyond, for the glory of God and His Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Are you serving Him in this manner or not. If no, why not?
