“Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you islands, and all who live in hem. Let the desert and its owns raise their voices; let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice. Let the people of Seal sing for joy; let them shout from the mountaintops. Let them give glory to the Lord and proclaim his praise in the islands.” (Isaiah 42:10-12 – Evangelism, Universality)
All the nations of the earth are to praise the Lord for His grace. Salvation puts a “new song” in the hearts of everyone who will embrace the gospel. From the top of the mountain, to the desert, to the coastland, to the end of the earth, all are to sing to the Lord because of His great salvation. The gospel is universal; it is for all. The sad thing is that there will be unwilling to accept God’s salvation; the reasoning may be selfishness, or an unwilling spirit that won’t allow them to follow the world, instead of Almighty God. No one can make a decision for another, though we wish we could. All we can do is continue to pray for those who for whatever reason have not decided to accept God’s salvation, to do so.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:
Precious Abba, salvation is a free gift from You, for accepting eternal salvation through Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. We pray this day for all those who have not accepted Your gift, but will find their way to do so soon, rather later, for we do not know when Jesus will return, but You do. Today we continue to pray troops serving in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, that a peaceful solution might be found and let the fighting be silenced. We also pray for those who are suffering in body, mind, and/or spirit, with friends, family, for those we don’t know. Amen
THOUGHT OF THE DAY:
“The Bible is most helpful when open and read daily.”
KNOWING GOD:
“Then I will purify the lips of the peoples, that all of them may call on the name of the Lord and serve him shoulder to shoulder. From beyond the rivers of Cush my worshipers, my scattered people, will bring me offerings.” (Zephaniah 3:9-10 – Evangelism, Universality)
God plans for all people to join together to worship Him. Different languages can be overcome through God’s powers. Evangelism should lead to a purified and unified people calling on God’s name in worship.
I AM:
“After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robe and were hold palm branches in their hands.” (Revelation 7:9 – Evangelism, Universality)
The gospel is intended for all, though not all accept it. Here is the consummation of the grand truth that all peoples can taste of salvation through Christ Jesus. He died and rose again for all. He will clothe all who come to Him in repentance and faith with the white robe of righteousness and give them the palm branch of eternal peace and rest. Tell all people that, for that is our evangelistic responsibility. This wonderful apocalyptic vision of worshipers before the throne of God gives us a very deep abiding sense of gratitude and praise. The worshipers are from every nation, tribe, language, and people, they are not wearing the typical clothes of their various lands. Their white robes identify them as belonging to God. God desires that men, women, and children from every nation belong to Him. But the contemporary churches must be faithful to the missionary vision for God’s plan to be carried out.
2ND THOUGHT OF THE DAY:
“Who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before y ou, for your righteous acts have been revealed.” (Revelation 15:4 – Evangelism, Universality)
The gospel is for all, and all nations and races will find among them those who will respond. We are, therefore, to evangelize all people regardless of who or where they are. It is our responsibility to reach out to people around the world, either by mission trips or even personal travels to other lands, to take this simple message that bring eternal life, peace, and hope for all we encounter. We certainly must do so in the places we live, work, and play. It is really this easy, and it is important to be obedient to God through His Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus, who has sent us as a people, to spread the Word to everyone else. Pray on this, beloved and find your way of obeying our call to evangelize the world we live it.
