May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine upon us, that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations.” (Psalm 67:1 – 2) – God’s Salvation of People)

God’s saving power is for all people. Redemption is universal, available to all who will respond to the gospel in repentance and faith. All nations should hear of God’s way of salvation. He is gracious and makes His face shine on His people. Revived and blessed, His people then become the agents to carry the gospel message on to all those around t hem. We need constant spiritual renewal in order to take the Word of redemption to all nations.

Precious Abba, we asked simply and reverently that You prepare us for the task of spreading Your message of salvation through Jesus Christ out into the world that we live in. Give us the necessary resources, including our daily study of Your Word, that will give us depth of knowledge, and the words necessary to open hearts for Your service, and we will place our full faith that You will provide for all our needs to accomplish the task that we have accepted from Your own lips. Today we continue to pray troops serving in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, that a peaceful solution might be found and let the fighting be silenced. We also pray for those who are suffering in body, mind, and/or spirit, with friends, family, for those we don’t know. Amen

God made this earth, enjoy its beauty, and them help to maintain that beauty for others.”

The nations will fear the name of the Lord, all the kings of the earth will revere your glory.” (Psalm 102:15 – Salvation)

All through history, we have seen good and not so good leaders of nations. Some were benevolent, some were harsh, some were admired, and some were feared. In this brief verse in Psalm 102, we must note that God has been tested unsuccessfully a number of times and those who would test Him came away fearing Him because they could not defeat Him nor even give Him a test that was difficult to overcome. God’s leadership may be harsh to some, but in reality He loves all of His creation. He asks only for people to willingly decide to accept and worship only Him. For that, He will stand with us in all situations; good or bad, and those that recognize that He is our God, will fear Him and His abilities to destroy them for trying to tempt His people to seek worldly way instead of His ways. His salvation is sure and true, and He protects His people.

Therefore strong peoples will honor you; cities of ruthless nations will revere you.” (Isaiah 25:3 – Salvation)

When the gospel is proclaimed, even strong and ruthless people are brought to surrender and to believe, thus fearing the Lord. The glorious salvation of God completely transforms lives.

The Lord will lay bare his holy arm in the sight of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God.” (Psalm 52:10 – Salvation)

As God reveals His mighty acts and people come to realize who He is and what He does, they cry out to God for salvation. Evangelism, therefore, is to share the mighty acts of God in redemption that all the ends of the earth will witness and thus turn to Him. For the prophet’s audience, God’s great act was the return from Exile. For Christian’s it is Christ’s ministry, death, and resurrection; thus, bring us salvation.
