Meditation for 09/25/2019
“But when the time has fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law that we might received the full rights of sons.” (Galatians 4:4)
Scripture clearly states how the process of His Son’s claim of being God’s Son, how He was born and of a woman, under the law, to redeem those under the law that we might receive our full rights as heirs.
The is a foretelling that Jesus’ ministry on the earth was fulfilled and had met all requirements of inspired Law. He was thus qualified to redeem humans who broke the law and were slaves to sin. Jesus through the Spirit made us adopted children of God and thus began the process to finish Satan off once and forever.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:
Precious Abba, Satan wants us to believe in his power, but it pales in comparison to Yours. Your plans are perfect and well thought out. You will, will be done on this earth and we who claim Jesus as our Lord and Savior will enter the eternal kingdom fully forgiven us our sins and will enjoy eternal life with You and all that came before us and those who come in the future. We serve You not because we are perfect in any way, but because of Your grace and mercy. The time to come will see Satan flung into the lake of fire for all eternity. Our intent is to serve You at all times and in any way we can. Help us to always take the high path to righteous living; thus, we will look forward to the kingdom with You forever. Amen
THOUGHT OF THE DAY:
“An upright person is never a downright failure.”
KNOWING GOD:
“And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment—-to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.” (Ephesians 1:9-10)
Beloved, God has a purpose for history and is accomplishing it. In Christ the church knows God’s purpose, Christ ruling all creation, as revealed promises and purposes of God, this, too, will be fulfilled.
The purposes of God are to be brought to their intended goal. These purposes are centered in Christ and come to fruition in association with Him. “All things” is an all-embracing phrase for the whole of creation, the times of human history, and the totality of redeemed humanity. All will be headed up in Christ, and therein final harmony and God’s eternally intended purpose will be realized.
I AM:
Last Things, History’s Goal: (Isaiah 65:17-25)
The hope of new heavens and a new earth is the ultimate hope of the people of God (Isaiah 66:22) and the final goal toward which redemptive history is moving. Even natural enemies in the animal world will eat together instead of eating one another. God expects His people to pray for this day to come. Is this your prayer???
Second Thought of the Day:
“The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray.” (Revelation 4:7)
God is moving this present world order to an end. He has a goal for history. Included is the inauguration of the eternal order. The nearness which Peter saw shows how closely Jesus’ first coming is associated with His second; in God’s time the end became near with the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Associated with the end is God’s judgment before which everyone must give an account, no exceptions whatsoever, beloved. Scared? If you have accepted God through a personal relationship with His Son, our Savior Jesus Christ, then when it is time for your time of accounting, Jesus will be standing right next to you. Those who haven’t will be standing alone!
