I will send you such a blessing in the sixth year that the land will yield enough for three years.” (Leviticus 25:21)

God promised to bless Israel for keeping the Sabbath Year and the Year of Jubliee so much that in the sixth year the land would yield enough to last for three years. The God of our salvation is the Lord over land and nature. His salvation includes caring for our physical needs.

Precious Abba, You made a promise to the people of Israel that if they would keep the Sabbath Year and he Year of Jubliee, that on the sixth year the land of the people would produce enough to sustain the people for three years. As the land is supposed to sit idle on the 7th year, You told them not to worry about their physical needs for three years; thus, they could still let the land rest for a year and they would have enough to sustain them in the meantime. Let our worship then flow out of grateful hearts. This we pray. Amen

God allows our enemies to exist, so that we can learn to love them!”

I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have cut off all your enemies from before you. Now I will make your name great, like the names of the greatest men of the earth. Now be pleased to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever in your sight; for you, O Sovereign Lord, have spoken, and with your blessing, the house of your servant will be blessed forever.” (2nd Samuel 7:9, 29)

David had moved into the place for the King of Israel, and yet a gnawing thought in the back of his mind told him that the Ark of the Covenant is housed in a tent. David wanted to build a house for the Ark of the Covenant. God’s message to David was of peace and allowing the people to grow their crops, their animals and that their name would be elevated to a high level that ever before. He further told him that his seed would succeed him and that the house David wanted to be built would be done by his successor.

Their descendants will be known among the nations and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the Lord has blessed.” (Isaiah 61:9)

God promised to bless Israel with an everlasting covenant, which would bring everlasting joy to her and her offspring, and be a part of her missionary equipment. Believers in Christ are inheritors of these promised blessings of salvation.

Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since he creation of the world.’” (Matthew 25:34)

Those who do the Father’s will are blessed. Their inheritance is the kingdom of God, prepared for them since the creation of the world. God’s eternal purpose has been to create a kingdom of holy people devoted to Him. The purpose has always included separation of His people from the unbelieving world; thus, it is their inheritance.
