“Then the nations will know that I the Lord make Israel holy, when my sanctuary is among them forever.” (Ezekiel37:28)
God seeks to live with and in His people. His presence leads His people to a holy, pure life (Leviticus 19:1-37).
God continues to create a future for an obedient people. Worship of God leads us to holy living which, leads others to acknowledge and worship God. A holy life makes evangelistic efforts effective.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:
Precious Abba, only You can make us holy and You are willing to do so, for those who are obedient to Your will. We must study Your word, that we might come to a better understanding of our relationship with You, and then commit ourselves to that end. It is in Jesus’ name we pray this. Amen
THOUGHT OF THE DAY:
“You cannot do a kindness too soon, for you never know how soon it will be too late.”
KNOWING GOD:
“Restore us again, O God our Savior, and put away your displeasure toward us. Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger through all generations? Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? Show us your unfailing love, O Lord, and grant us your salvation.” (Psalm 85:4-7)
The power of a holy, revived life is great in evangelism. Revival comes whom God’s people seek forgiveness and a new sense of God’s love
All believers are to seek that constant spiritual renewing that they may be holy people, powerful in God’s hands. Holy lives are vital to evangelism and revival.
I AM:
“Finally brothers, pray for us, that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.” (2nd Thessalonians3:1)
Paul well realized the power of prayer in the spread of the gospel. Without prayer our witness has has little power. Those who pray much are used mightily of God to help others to Christ Jesus.
May God give us the spirit of prayer for effective evangelism. May the work that he gives us to accomplish be led by our prayers to Him and lead us by the Holy Spirit to further the work of bringing others to Christ.
SECOND THOUGHT of the DAY:
“Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” (Matthew9:37–38)
Christ commanded His disciples to pray that God will call and send out workers to declare the gospel and reap the harvest. Two great needs are for the lost to recognize their desperate condition and for Christians to follow Christ’s call to evangelize them.
This requires prayer. Prayer for the lost and for Christians to share the good news. Prayer is a major key to effective evangelism, no matter in the United States, or the nations of the world.
